Fantastic and Strange
I have chosen Fantastic and Strange because I found that this would be a great subject because the images I looked at were all quite strange, unique, original and images. I like the images from Edmund Teske because the images are eye catching and imaginative. My first experiment i intend to create something around the double exposure area.

This is some of Robert Heinecken
This image by Robert Heinecken is an amazing, and puzzling image. It looks like it has taken inspiration from a rubik's cube. I think that this is made up of four images put together. Each image looks like it has a different treatment, i think that the photos was taken with a film camera and each one looks like they have had a different exposure time. It is an unusual and original technique to use, to display this image. The way in which this image is being displayed, changes the way that the images are viewed, by making you pay more attention and look closer, because we would like to know what images are. Each side of the object has a different selection of images. Each of the images has a different colour and contrast of the image. |

I think that the photos was created with photoshop. this photo was created with a unique and imaginative techniques. The way in which this image is being displayed, is to catch the eye of who is viewing this image and to make the viewer to draw them in to make them take a closer look and see what is used to create this image.

Final Evaluation
I have chosen Fantastic and Strange because I found that this would be a great subject because the images I looked at were all quite strange, unique, original and images I have never seen before. I really liked the images with double exposure and the images which were are unusual. I like the images from Edmund Teske because the images are eye catching and imaginative. My first experiment i intend to create something around the double exposure area.
AO1:
My first ideas i got was from Pintrest. I was looking at Fantastic & Strange, next i started to look at photographers who have created work in the are of Fantastic and Strange. A photo by Jerry Uelsmann inspired me to create and take on this task and carry out my investigation on Fanatic & Strange. The image inspired me because it had an unique and rare. The image was manipulated and looked like it was a house growing from a tree. I then chose to take images of the buildings around me. Then i chose to open the photos in photoshop. I opened the photo's in photoshop and then created a new layer and then placed another image on top and then changed the opacity to 50% of the second layer, then i created a 3ed layer and changed the opacity to 35% to create a images where there is three buildings in one which are photoshoped to make a unique image like Jerry Uelsmann. Next i changed the colour of the images and made each layer to a different colour to help the image stand out. I learned from doing this that trial and improvement is key to help creating a image which is eye-catching.
AO2:
I took a digital camera and walked around school, taking 30 photo which i thought would be helpful or interesting to my investigation. Then i went back to class and opened the photos up on photoshop and edited them like the first attempted to change the colours and effects to create different images and style of my pieces. I have learned how to use manny different ways that photoshop can be used to change image's and how photoshop can be used to changed multiple photos together.
AO3:
How have you recorded your ideas, observations and insights?
AO4:
What have chosen to present as a personal, informed and meaningful response?
How have you demonstrated critical understanding, realised your intentions and made connections between visual, written, oral or other elements?
Conclusion
How satisfied are you with the progress you have made in this unit?
